We the Profane is a dark, spacey, distorted electronic journey. Genre wise, it is not easily defined. The overall vibe is vast agony with a pinch of fuck it, let’s dance while the world eats itself. The music and vocals are a rare combination stemming from the love of electronic music, industrial, metal and punk.

The music, lyrics, vocals and production of We The Profane is done by Danny Sparrow, with guitars from Jordan Stevens of the Slam Death band “Off The Hinges” on the self-titled debut.

Danny has been part of the local music scene in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia pretty much since it’s inception, drumming in punk, metal & hardcore bands. While still playing drums in active bands with his friends, We The Profane is what he does to stay sane.

Danny started recording as a teenager in the 90s on a Tascam 4-track tape recorder and fell in love with it. He began experiencing with making electronic music in the 2000s but never released anything. After a hiatus from making music to run his print shop, he sold his equipment & made the 2024 self titled debut album in his home studio.

The follow up full length “24 Carrot Gold” was written and produced in 2024 with a release date of December 27th.

“24 Carrot Gold” shows more of the lighter side of Dannys life and is more experimental, yet sonically consistent. The future for We The Profane will be strange, work on a few 2025 releases are already underway.

As for videos, Tar City Productions are responsible for those monstrosities and we loved every second of filming them.  Scripts are already being written for a 2nd batch of videos and they will be even more twisted.
